1
Paint the room in royal colors. Paint her bedroom in traditional princess colors. No matter what her age, princess colors are still princess colors. Shades of pink, purple and blue are optimum choices. White allows you to accent with a wider variety of colors.

2
Install a crown above her bed using a hula hoop wrapped in satin, a strong fishing line and several eye hooks. Wind purple chenille stems around it, forming large loops that stand above the hoop. Hot-glue faux jewels to the hoop and the stems. Pin tulle around the hoop so that it drapes over the head of her bed.

3
Adorn the bed with frills. Choose a rich satin comforter accented with lace neck roll pillows. Use matching window treatments.

4
Accent dressers and bedside tables with crystal-based lamps. Glue feathers to the bottom edge of the lamp shades. Glue clear glass beads to the top of the shades. Bedeck her dressing table with a silver-plated brush and mirror set, complete with silver tray.

5
Fashion a rose trellis on an accent wall using a white lattice and rose garlands. Hang the princess's prom dress on a hanger and hang it at an angle, using pins to hold the arms and spread the skirt of the gown across one side of the wall trellis.
-
6
Pin foil stars to several yards of tulle or chiffon. Staple the chiffon to the ceiling of her bedroom, allowing it to droop several inches in various spots. This billowy cloud-like adornment completes a fairy-tale room that is fit for a princess of any age.
