Children love to play with Play-doh. The wonderful thing about it is that you can make just about anything, and if you mess up you can squish it back into a ball and start over. Sometimes children are so proud of all of their hard work, they do not want to squish their creation up and put it back into the container. Here is a way to help preserve that masterpiece.
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Place the finished play-doh creation on the cookie sheet. You can place a sheet of wax paper under it to protect the pan, but it is not necessary to do so if you are using a non-stick pan.
Step 3
Put the pan in the preheated oven for five minutes.
Step 4
Gently touch the Play-doh using a toothpick, if it seems soft put it back in for a few more minutes.
Tip
Baking at a low temperature for a longer period of time helps the inside to get hard before the outside starts to burn.
Larger creations will crack easily. It is better to cook flat creations.
Special bake-able clays are sold that do not crack in the oven. These can be purchased in craft stores.
