  • Sauce pan
  • Whisk
  • Cornstarch
  • Light corn syrup
  • Bowls

Instructions

      Mix together 1 cup of water and 1/4 cup of cornstarch in a small sauce pan. Put on the stove under low heat and whisk the ingredients together for about five minutes or until it thickens.

      Add 1 tsp. of light corn syrup to the mix and whisk it more. Remove it from the stove.

      Pour the mixture into a small bowl and add one or two squirts of tempera paint and mix it thoroughly. Wait for the paint to cool before using.

Tips & Warnings

  • Put down some old newspaper under the paint bowls and while painting to protect from stains.

  • Have the children wear smocks to avoid getting paint on their clothing.
