How to Move a Go Daddy Website to cPanel
GoDaddy is one of the largest domain name registrars on the Internet. When you purchase your domain name from GoDaddy, it offers the option of hosting the website with them. If you prefer to host your website somewhere else, you have to change the domain name servers to point to the hosting service where you set up your website.

1
Navigate to the GoDaddy website and log in to your account.
-
2
Move the mouse to “Domains” on the menu line and choose “Domain Managers” under “Management” on the menu that pops up. Alternatively, navigate to “My Products” and select “Domains/Domain Manager.”
-
-
3
Click on the domain name or website name that you want to change. When the website information pops up, choose “Set Nameservers” under the “Nameserver” title. Note the location listed under "Nameservers" -- when hosted at the GoDaddy site, it will have something similar to "NSXX.DomainControl.com," where the “XX” stands for the nameserver number, such as “NS29.Domaincontrol.com”
-
4
Choose the button that says “I have specific nameservers for my domain” and fill out the two provided fields with the nameservers given to you by your hosting account. The nameservers protocol uses NSXX.HostProviderName.com as the format for nameservers.

5
Visit the control panel function of your website-hosting service by accessing it with the user login and password it supplied you with when you signed up for the service. Another way of accessing it is by inputting your website domain, such as “http://www.yourwebsitename.com/cpanel.”
-
6
Go to the file manager section and locate your hosted website name. If you have input the information correctly in the GoDaddy screen, you can see the website name by accessing the “File Manager” function from the cPanel. It may take up to a day for the change to be recognized on the Internet.
