How to Make Mini Paper Bouquets
Whether you hope to save money compared to fresh floral bouquets or can’t resist the personal touch or chic, yet classic, look that the paper flower trend offers, you’ll find that homemade paper flowers are a perfect addition to your next occasion’s décor. Make a small, brightly colored bouquet of these do-it-yourself gems to display for a home gathering or choose these as an inexpensive option for bridesmaids and a flower girl at your wedding.
Things You'll Need
- 35 squares of tissue paper, 2 inches by 2 inches
- Scissors
- Pearl-tipped corsage pin
- Corsage tape
- Wire cutters
- 22-gauge floral wire
- Ribbon

1
Layer five squares of tissue paper on top of one another. Fold pieces together lengthwise, then widthwise. Draw a half petal shape along both folded edges and make them overlap one another at the corner. Cut out the shape, being sure to leave the corner and edges intact. Unfold to see your flower shape.

2
Pierce the centers of the tissue paper layers, still stacked, with a corsage pin. Rotate several of the flowers around the pin to fill in the spaces between petals and create a fuller-looking flower.

3
Pinch the flower’s base to gather it and wrap it once with a piece of corsage tape to secure the flower to the pin. Cut a piece of wire as long as you’d like your flower stem to be and line it up against the corsage pin beneath the flower. Wrap corsage tape around the length of the stem from the base of the flower to the bottom of the wire.

4
Repeat to make seven flowers. Gather flowers together and arrange to your liking. Wrap stems, collectively, in corsage tape to create a single handle.
-
5
Cut a several-inch piece of ribbon. Cover the sharp wire bottoms emerging from the handle and attach with hot glue. Wrap the entire handle, from bottom to top, with ribbon. Secure with glue as you wrap. Let dry.
