DIY Snow Globe With Florist Clay
A snow globe is a clear vessel filled with water and with a figure inside. When the snow globe is shaken, glitter flies in the water, giving it the appearance of a snowstorm. Make your own snow globes using florist clay, which helps hold the figure steady as well as creating a little base. Florist clay is a material that can resist the water as well as offer the figure a green area on which to stand.
Instructions

1
Wash the jar and its lid, and dry them thoroughly.
-
2
Mold a small mound of florist clay to the interior of the jar lid. The clay is sticky and will adhere to the lid on its own. Leave about 1/4 inch between the clay and the rim of the jar lid.
-
-
3
Press a small plastic figurine into the clay, positioned the way you wish it to look in the globe. Hold the lid to the jar to make sure that the figurine will fit.
-
4
Fill the glass jar with cold water, getting as close to the top as possible.
-
5
Add between 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of white glitter to the jar to produce snow. You may add more according to your taste.
-
6
Apply a line of hot glue into the gap between the rim of the jar and the clay using a hot glue gun.
-
7
Screw the lid onto the jar so that the figure hangs upside down in the jar.
-
8
Leave the jar alone overnight to give the glue time to cure. In the morning, turn the jar upside-down and display it as a snow globe.
