How to Remove Virtual Printers in Citrix

If you have virtual printers you no longer use or have third-party printers already installed onto your network, you can remove them through removing the "Auto Install" printer driver feature in the Citrix Presentation Server console. When a user logs onto the network, the Citrix Presentation Server is set to automatically install Windows printer drivers. You can modify this feature to suit your network's requirements.

Instructions

1. Click "Start," "All Programs" and "Citrix Presentation Server Management Console."

2. Remove the check mark in the box next to "Automatically Install Native Drivers for Auto-Created Client and Network Printers."

3. Click the "Printers and Faxes" screen under the "Control Center."

4. Click "Server Properties" and "Drivers."

5. Delete the virtual printer drivers you no longer wish to use.

6. Right-click the "Print Management Root" icon and click "Update Printer and Driver Information."
