Instructions

Trace your folder onto a piece of paper twice (for the front and back) to get the appropriate dimensions and cut it out. If you are decoupaging a collage, you will want to cut out all your designs and photographs and then place them on your folder first to make sure they cover the entire folder.

Coat the top of your folder with a decoupage medium, using the craft sponge and place the paper on top. If you are using several different types of paper or photographs to make a collage on the folder, it is better to glue small portions of the folder at a time, so that the medium does not dry before you finish assembling your decoupage collage. Wait several minutes, then flip it over and repeat this process for the back side of the folder.

Cover the paper with another coat of decoupage medium and let dry for at least 20 minutes. Flip the folder over and repeat the process for the back side. A second coat can be done to be sure the paper is completely sealed on the folder, but is not necessary.
