Instructions

    • 1

Cut out an oval of felt that is 2-inches long and 1-inch wide. This will form the base of the brooch.

    • 2

Cut out a piece of cardboard that is the same size and shape as the oval of felt and hot glue it to one side of the felt piece.

    • 3

Gather embellishments, such as feathers, rhinestones and artificial flowers, and arrange them on top of the felt oval in whatever design you wish.

    • 4

Hot glue the embellishments on the felt and allow it to dry.

    • 5

Glue the cardboard-backed felt onto the back of a flat-backed pin. Pin backs can be found in the notions section of craft stores.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a simpler brooch, layer different colored felt shapes on top of each other without embellishments.

  • Wear the brooch on a lapel, a hat or around your neck on a necklace chain.

  • Embellishments may be layered on top of each other to give the brooch a more three dimensional look.
