How to Make a Pink Glow in a Centerpiece
Pulling a color theme throughout an area is one way to ensure your party is a success, especially in the decorating department. If you are working with the color pink, as either a primary or accent color, one way to bring the soft effect of pink to tables is by having centerpieces which emit a pink glow across the entire table.
Things You'll Need
- Round mirror
- Crystal vase
- Glass votive holders (clear or pink glass)
- Pink votive candles
- Pink flowers

- Pink rose petals

1
Place a pink tablecloth on the table. Opt for a pale shade of pink so as not to overwhelm the design. Use pink linen or cloth napkins, light pink color plate chargers and pink napkins. The set up of the table will make the pink glow from the centerpiece more dramatic.

2
Wash the round mirror with window cleaner to get a streak-free finish. Place the round mirror, mirror side up, in the center of the table.

3
Place a clear crystal vase in the center of the mirror. Add flowers in shades of pink. You can add a few pieces of greenery to add dimension to the arrangement.
-
4
Place one pink votive candle inside each of the clear glass votive holders. Arrange the votive holders around the outside perimeter of the mirror so that you have candles directly beside one another and forming a ring around the outside.
-
5
Sprinkle a few pink rose or flower petals on top of the mirror, though you need to leave more than half of the mirror showing so the light can reflect off of the mirror. Light the candles to create the glow.

Tips & Warnings
Opt for unscented pink candles unless the scent associated with the pink candles is one you want floating throughout the area.
Use caution when using lit centerpieces at events where children are involved.
