How to Make Cute Cupcake Tiers for a Bridal Shower
If you are hosting a bridal shower, you may be searching for food presentation ideas. Rather than setting out the appetizers, finger foods and dessert on regular plates, a bridal shower calls for presentation concepts with more pizazz. If you have cupcakes on your menu, consider making cupcake tiers that will put the cupcakes on display. Cupcake tier stands not only make decorative centerpieces for tables or buffets, they also offer an easy grab for guests to take the cupcakes they want.

1
Paint the 12-inch and 10-inch round cake plates white with white acrylic paint. Coat the front and the back of the plates. Allow the cake plates to dry for one hour.

2
Wrap fabric trim around the two 7-inch-wide by 4-inch-high Styrofoam cake dummies. The cake dummies will act as the stands that separate the cupcake tiers and hold them up. Fit the fabric trim around the dummies and cut the trim with scissors. Apply glue from a hot glue gun onto the underside of the trim and stick it into the two Styrofoam dummies.

Glue one Styrofoam dummy underneath the 12-inch cake plate in the center of the plate. Glue the second dummy on top of the 12-inch cake plate in the center. Add glue to the top of the second dummy and place the 10-inch cake plate on top of it. You now have a cupcake stand with two tiers.

Use the hot glue gun to glue small circular lace doilies around the circumference of the cake plates. The doilies are what you will set the cupcakes on top of. They also act as embellishment to the cupcake stand.

Tips & Warnings
An alternative to painting the cake plates is to cover them with a bridal shower-themed wallpaper. For instance, if the colors of the bridal shower are pink and white, you can find a pink and white wallpaper and coat the plates with it.
