Carving pumpkins can be messy, difficult and time consuming. Skip the carving chaos and decorate pumpkins with cute ribbons instead. Use ribbons with different widths, colors and patterns to make interesting pumpkins that make adorable decorations for the fall season. It's inexpensive and cute to use ribbons to decorate Halloween pumpkins for outside, or small ones to use for a table centerpiece.

1
Cut lengths of ribbon to fit the pumpkin. Consider using thin ribbon to decorate the pumpkin with vertical stripes, or use a wide ribbon to go around the middle of the pumpkin.
-
2
Squeeze a small amount of hot glue and place the ribbon's end on to the glue. For vertical placing, the glue should be at the top of the pumpkin near the stem.

3
Place the ribbon gently in place and add another dab of hot glue at the end of the ribbon. Overlap the ribbon ends slightly if you're doing a horizontal decoration. For vertical ribbon decorating, attach the other end of the ribbon with glue at the bottom of the pumpkin.

4
Allow the hot glue to dry and continue decorating the pumpkin, if desired. Add crystals, sequins or glitter to add more embellishment to the pumpkin.
