How to Make Floating Candle Centerpieces With Water Gems

Add some glow to the table with floating candles along with a bit of sparkle by adding some gems. Water gems are special stones that can be placed in vases to add some luster to a centerpiece. Fill your glass container of choice one-quarter of the way full with the water gems. Use a glass bowl to make the centerpiece or glass vases of various sizes to add visual interest. If you use a bowl, spread out the water gems along the bottom.

Pour water into the container, covering the gems. Add enough water to fill the container but leave 1 inch or more, as desired, for the floating tealight candles. To make an eye-catching display with vases, fill each vase with a different amount of water so the candles will float at various heights.

Place the candles on the water's surface. For a bowl, you can use as many candles as desired. If you are making the centerpiece in a vase, use one candle per vase.
