How to Clean a Watch With a Toothbrush

Things You'll Need
- Nonabrasive washcloths
- Toothpick
- Soft-bristled toothbrush
- Liquid soap
- Water

Remove large deposits of filth with a nonabrasive washcloth. Gently wipe your timepiece in a circular fashion in order to get rid of easy-to-remove smudges or bits of dirt. Use a toothpick to extract any pieces of debris from the links of your watchband.

Lightly soak a soft-bristled toothbrush in a mixture of liquid soap and warm water. Carefully scrub your timepiece's clock and watchband. When cleaning the watch's clock, be careful not to scrub too forcefully, as this may result in the timepiece's gears getting wet.

Dry your freshly cleaned timepiece with a nonabrasive washcloth. Once your watch has been thoroughly dried, you'll be free to wear it again.

Tips & Warnings
If your timepiece features a leather watchband instead of a metallic one, remove the band and clean it with a traditional leather cleaner.
