Have an afternoon of crocheting with friends.

A lap quilt can make a lovely gift for someone who is ill, a young child or simply as a reminder of comfort and caring to someone special in your life. Although crochet patterns can often seem intimidating and the idea of making a quilt may strike up images of tangled yarn and long involved hours of stitching, this lap quilt pattern is straightforward and simple to follow. Using only basic crochet stitches, such as the single crochet and double crochet and a thick, chunky yarn, this quilt will stitch up quickly.
