How to Make Scalloped Edge Round Labels
Producing a scalloped-edge round label is best accomplished using round name labels, and then cutting out the scallop around the border of the existing label. This affords you the benefit of being able to make a large number of labels quickly without having to deal with contact paper. In addition, it allows you to produce a large amount of labels that are for the most part the same size. This is particularly desirable if you intend to use the labels as name tags.

1
Hold the scalloped pinking shears in your dominant hand while you hold the sheet of round labels with your other hand.
-
2
Cut into the edge of the label sheet until the scalloped pinking shears reach the first round label you will cut. When you reach this point, turn the shears so that they line up with the existing edge of the round label.

3
Line up the scalloped pinking shears so that when you make your cut, the outer line of the label grazes the topmost point of the pinking shear's round cutting die. If you cut the outer line with the pointed part at the bottom of the scalloped die, the scallops will not show up. The label will pull off of its backing with the round edge intact, with the scallops positioned outside of the line.
