How to Clean the Pump Filter in an LG Washing Machine
When the pump filter on a washing machine gets clogged with lint, small objects that fall out of pockets and into the pump, and general debris, the washing machine may not function properly. The wash load may take longer, water may not drain as well, or water might even leak from the machine. Cleaning out the pump filter on a LG washing machine is fairly easy to do, thanks to an access panel on the front of the washer. Does this Spark an idea?

Unplug the LG washing machine from the electrical outlet.

Pull down the small panel on the lower left side of the washing machine. Place an empty container or towels in front of the panel.

Remove the plug from the drain hose. Set the hose in the container or on the towels. Turn the pump filter door counterclockwise.

Pull out the pump filter and rinse well with water to clean out debris. Wipe the interior housing clear of lint and debris as well. Slide the pump filter back into place and close the pump filter door.

Push the drain hose back into position and clip it into place. Close the access panel door and restore power to the LG washer.
