Instructions

    • 1

Remove the stem from one large, white, silk flower such as a gardenia, rose or orchid with a pair of scissors. Discard the stem. Remove a few of the flower's outer petals if you wish to decrease the size of the flower.

    • 2

Cut two to three white feathers to the desired length with the scissors. Gather the feathers together into the desired arrangement. Place the grouping of feathers behind the silk flower and adjust their position until they are in the desired spot. Mark the spot and remove the feathers. Flip the flower over and use a hot glue gun to place a drop of hot glue on the back of the flower where the feathers are to reside. Press the ends of the feathers into the hot glue. Hold the feathers in place until the glue sets.

    • 3

Cut a 2- to 3-inch circle from a piece of white felt with scissors. Use the hot glue gun to attach the felt circle to the center back of the silk flower on top of the feathers.

    • 4

Cut a 1- to 2-inch Styrofoam ball in half with a knife. Place one of the halves flat-side down on a work surface. Attach rhinestones or pearls to the rounded surface of the Styrofoam using hot glue. Glue the beads side by side until the Styrofoam is completely covered.

    • 5

Apply a drop of hot glue to the bottom flat side of the beaded Styrofoam. Press the flat side of the Styrofoam containing the glue to the center of the silk flower. Hold the piece in place until the glue sets.

    • 6

Add a line of hot glue to the top side of an alligator hair clip. Press the surface of the clip containing the glue to the center of the felt backing. Hold the clip in place until the glue dries.
