How to Make a Femo Clay High Heeled Shoe
High heels have long been a symbol of femininity and glamour. They range from a simple pump to elaborate works of wearable art with outrageous lines and fabrics. The right high heels can add a great deal of style to a woman's outfit, so it's no surprise that many women collect heels for every occasion. If you have a friend who is a shoe enthusiast, sculpt her a decorative clay high heel to adorn her dressing table or jewelry box.

1
Knead and roll your clay until it is smooth and pliable. Use the rolling pin to create a flat sheet of clay about 1/4" thick. Cut out a shoe sole shape with your exacto knife and carefully lift it free of the clay sheet. Smooth the edges with your fingers.

2
Pinch off a small piece of clay and roll it into a ball. Press it to the underside of the heel of your sole to form the base for the high heel. If necessary, use a small ball of aluminum foil as a support to help curve the sole into the desired shape.

3
Roll a small snake from the clay to form the heel of the shoe and press it to the bottom of the clay ball. Smooth downwards with your finger to shape the heel. If desired, use the flat side of the butter knife to press the heel into a square shape.

Add any straps, sides or decorative elements to the shoe, bracing them with more aluminum foil balls if necessary. Bake the shoe according to the instructions on the clay. Once the shoe cools, embellish it with paints, crystals or decorative elements if desired.
