How to Make a Felt Bow Headband
Handmade felt bow headbands make thoughtful gifts for friends and loved ones, primarily for babies and young children. If you would like to make a headband from home, you can do so by incorporating colorful bows made from craft felt and attached to coordinating headbands. Choose what size you would like to make the bows as well as the colors and optional decorative accents for the headband.

1
Cut a rectangle-shaped piece of felt the length you would like your finished bow to be. Cut a smaller strip of felt for the middle of the bow; the strip will need to be about 1/2 inch longer than the width of your rectangle piece.

2
Pinch the middle of the rectangle felt piece and place a dab of glue on one side of the pinched area. Pinch the edge of the rectangle and press it firmly against the glued portion, holding it for several seconds, or until the glue dries. Repeat this for the other side so that it forms a bow shape. Glue the strip of felt around the middle of the bow.

Glue the finished bow onto a headband, preferably off-center. You can now decorate the headband with your choice of embellishments such as rhinestones or beads, ribbon or buttons.
