DIY Flat Spiral Bracelet
Flat spiral bracelets may look daunting and difficult to make, however, that is not the case. The stitch required for these bracelets is quite repetitive so it will soon become second nature. Creating your own flat spiral bracelet is an excellent idea because it can be personalized. These beads are just suggestions; the bracelet also would work with different beads. These instructions will create a 7.5-inch bracelet, but it can easily be shortened by stopping the stitching when the bracelet will fit your wrist. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions
-
-
1
Measure and cut 3 yards of beading thread using the nipper tool. Tie the thread onto the end of the needle.
-
2
Thread the needle through two 6mm bicone beads; these will be the “core beads” of the bracelet. Leave about 10 inches at the end of the line after the core beads to tie on the clasp.
-
-
3
Pick up five seed beads, one 4mm bicone and five more seed beads with the needle. Thread the needle through the back of the two core beads, creating a small arch around the core beads.
-
4
Pick up five seed beads, one 4mm bicone and five more seed beads with the needle. Thread the needle through the back of the two core beads once again, this time move the beads to opposite side of the core beads so that both sides have a bead arch around them.
-
5
Pick up one 6mm bicone with the needle and thread it straight onto the bracelet.
-
6
Pick up five seed beads, one 4mm bicone and five more seed beads with the needle. Thread the needle through the back of the last core bead (next to the just-added bicone bead) and the just-added bicone bead.
-
7
Pick up five seed beads, one 4mm bicone and five more seed beads with the needle. Thread the needle through the back of the same two beads as in the previous step.
-
8
Pick up one 6mm bicone with the needle and thread it straight onto the bracelet.
-
9
Continue these steps until all of the recommended beads have been used or the bracelet is the desired length.
-
10
Pick up one seed bead and thread it directly onto the bracelet. Then, pick up three seed beads, half the clasp and three more seed beads. Thread the beads with the needle straight into the one seed bead that was just added and the last two 6mm bicone beads.
-
11
Pull the needle straight out the back of the second bicone bead. Secure the clasp by running the needle back through the last section of bracelet at least two times.
-
12
Continue threading until the needle comes out of the back of the 6mm bicone closest to the clasp.
-
13
Tie a half-hitch knot by catching a thread in the bead and running the thread through the bead until there is a small loop. Place the needle through the loop at pull tight. Repeat two times and then cut the excess line with the nipper tool.
-
14
Repeat steps 10, 11, 12, 13 on the opposite end of the bracelet to secure the other part of the clasp.
