Instructions

    • 1

Cut six pieces of jewelry string. Decide how long you want your necklace to be and include an additional two inches to allow room for securing and finishing.

    • 2

Slide a small crimp bead onto one end of each string. Bend the string and bring the end back through the crimp bead to form a small loop.

    • 3

Flatten and fold the crimp bead around the string using your crimp tool. The loop should be secure and the crimp bead should not slide around.

    • 4

Thread the seed beads onto each string. Leave about an inch of excess string at the end.

    • 5

Repeat Steps Two and Three to secure the beads onto the strings.

    • 6

Use your pliers to slightly twist open the loop on both eye pins.

    • 7

Slip the loop on one end of each string of beads onto one eye pin. Close the loop on the eye pin securely so the strings of beads don’t fall off. Repeat for the other end of the strings with the other eye pin.

    • 8

Slide one bead cone onto each eye pin. The bead cones should fit over the ends of all six strings of beads.

    • 9

Add a small silver bead to each eye pin. The silver beads should sit right on top of the bead cones.

    • 10

Grip the eye pin just above the silver bead with your round nose pliers. Bend the eye pin to a 90 degree angle.

    • 11

Trim the eye pin with your wire cutters to about 1/4-inch.

    • 12

Grip the end of the eye pin with the tip your round nose pliers. Roll the pliers to form a loop. Don’t close the loop all the way.

    • 13

Repeat Steps Nine through Eleven for the other eye pin.

    • 14

Put your necklace clasp onto the loops. Close the loops securely with your pliers.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make a bracelet to match your necklace.

  • Add additional strands of beads for a thicker necklace.

  • Improper use of the jewelry tools can cause injury.
