However, the scuffs are fairly easy to remove, and most tennis shoes can be tossed into the washing machine on occasion to whiten and brighten them.   • Pencil eraser
  • Cleaning eraser
  • Laundry detergent
  • White vinegar

Instructions

      Scrub a pencil eraser or cleaning eraser over the tennis shoes. Either of these types of erasers removes most if not all of the scuff mark residue.

      Read the care tag on the shoe label to determine of the shoes are machine washable. If they are, remove the laces from the shoes and place both the shoes and laces into the washing machine.

      Run a small wash load with half a cap of laundry detergent and 2 cups of white vinegar. The vinegar will help brighten and clean the shoes. Use a warm water wash cycle.

      Place the shoes flat to air dry and lay the laces flat out to dry.
