Pour 1 cup of baking soda into the shower drain opening.

Drizzle 1 cup of white vinegar into the drain as well. The vinegar mixes with the baking soda to create a foam that cleans and deodorizes the interior surfaces of drainpipes.

Let the foam move through the shower drain for about 30 minutes, then rinse the shower drain with boiling water to rinse the residue.
