Instructions

    • 1

Wrap the foam wreath with yarn by first securing one end of the yarn at the rear of the wreath with masking tape then wrapping the yarn round and round the wreath shape, pushing the strands tightly together until the entire wreath is covered.

    • 2

Cut shapes and motifs from the colored felt. Tailor these according to the season or occasion you are making the wreath for, such as flower shapes for a spring or summer wreath, leaf shapes for fall, snowflakes for winter or hearts for Valentine's day.

    • 3

Arrange the felt motifs around the wreath in a random or geometric pattern. Glue them in place with fabric glue.

    • 4

Use mounting squares between the layers of felt motifs to add depth to your design.

    • 5

Hot-glue beads and buttons to the wreath for a finishing touch. Alternatively, you can sew these onto the felt shapes before gluing them into position.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you enjoy sewing, add decorative stitching to your felt shapes before attaching them.
