  • Liquid dish soap
  • Water
  • Deep sink or bathtub

      Take your tuba completely apart.

      Place all the parts except the valves into a deep sink or bathtub filled with warm water and liquid dish soap. Do not use hot water.

      Let the parts soak for about 10 minutes.

      Rinse each part in clean water.

      Dry excess water with a towel. Let the tuba parts sit until dry.

      Put all the tuba parts back together.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the time when the tuba parts are soaking to clean the valves of the tuba.

  • A Rotor Tuba should only be cleaned by a professional. Do not clean it at home.
