Select the beads or findings you will use in your belly ring creation. If you are using a belly ring, you can slip several beads and findings onto the ring. Belly jewelry bars only have space for one pendant or finding.

Pry the ring open with your fingers if you are making a beaded belly button ring. Slip the beads on and hold it up to ensure that you have not added too many beads and that the beads are not too big. If the beads fit comfortably, you can insert the ring into your belly hole and press closed.

Tips & Warnings
Some belly bars have hoops from which you can hang pendants. In this instance, use a pair of pliers to pry the ring on the top of the pendant open, slide it through the hoop on the bar and squeeze shut.
Always keep your belly ring clean. Use swabbing alcohol to disinfect new belly rings before use. Do not remove new belly rings until they have completely healed, as this may lead to infection.
