How to Make Scrabble Tile Keychains

Scrabble tile crafts are popular among children and adults alike. The tiles can be decoupaged, painted or decorated and altered in many interesting ways. Scrabble tile keychains can be personalized to spell someone's name or to express a short personal message. Scrabble tiles can be recycled from Scrabble games or ordered online. Craft stores may also stock Scrabble tiles in the original natural balsa wood style, with some vendors offering various colored tiles constructed with man-made materials.

Instructions

    • 1

Apply a drop of epoxy to the flat pads of two bails. Affix the bails to the back of the Scrabble tile, centering one bail at the top and the other at the bottom. Repeat the step for each tile but only add one bail, centered at the top, to the last tile used.

    • 2

Attach a jump ring to each bail. Use an additional jump ring to connect all the letters together so that three jump rings connect each letter.

    • 3

Create a small chain of five jump rings and attach the chain to the top-centered bail of the first letter. Attach a split ring to the other end of the small chain.
