Making professional-looking homemade jewelry doesn't have to be complicated. You can use inexpensive craft shop supplies to create something unique and stylish for yourself or your friends. Instructions

    • 1

Cut the 0.8 millimeter wire into three pieces, each measuring 2 inches long. Cut the 0.3 millimeter wire to about 15 inches. Wrap the thinner wire several times around the center of one of the 2-inch-long pieces.

    • 2

Lay a second piece of the 0.8 millimeter wire across the first, at about a 60-degree angle. Use the thinner wire to hold the two together, wrapping the wire two or three times.

    • 3

Place the final piece of wire on top of the other two, forming a star shape. Secure the third piece of wire to the first two by wrapping the thin wire around all three, two or three more times.

    • 4

Wrap the thin wire around each corner of the star twice to keep the wires in place. Trim the remaining wire.

    • 5

Push a row of beads along one arm of the star. Bend the end of the wire to a 90-degree angle using flat-nose pliers. Twist the wire to form a neat circle at the end of the star arm. Repeat this process with the other arms of the star.

Attach an earring hook to one of the loops. Form the second earring in the same fashion to create a pair.
