How to Beat 'Angry Birds Ice'

All birds can break through ice, but that doesn't mean they should.

While playing “Angry Birds,” you face a series of various obstacles to overcome to collapse different levels and squash the evil pigs that stole your offspring. While most substances, like the wood that makes up the bulk of most levels, can be destroyed with any bird, the ice you’ll find peppered throughout later levels will prove a match for less powerful allies. You’ll need to use each bird’s strengths to your advantage to take out the ice and beat the levels.

Instructions

1. Launch the red birds directly into a sheet of ice to break through. This bird has no special ability and will not break through multiple sheets.

2. Launch a yellow bird at a sheet of ice and tap the screen just before it hits. The bird will jolt forward with a burst of speed that it will need to break through the ice. Yellow birds are weak against ice, however, and are better used for other materials. Try to break the structure supporting the ice with these birds to collapse the level. The fall will shatter the ice for you.

3. Launch a tiny blue bird at an icy level to wreak havoc. Tap the screen before it makes contact, and the small bird will separate into three small birds, all of which can burst through multiple layers of ice without slowing down.

4. Launch the black bird anywhere near a sheet of ice. The bird will start blinking red on contact, then explode. The black bird can break ice upon contact and with the force of its explosion.

5. Launch a white bird above a sheet of ice. Tap the screen when the bird is directly over the ice sheet to drop an exploding egg. When the egg contacts the ice, it will explode, shattering the ice and any other nearby material.

6. Launch a green bird directly at a sheet of ice to break through it easily. You can also shoot this bird past the ice sheet and tap the screen to activate a boomerang effect. The bird will spiral back and shatter the ice from behind.

7. Launch the huge red bird at a sheet of ice to plow through it and anything that stands behind it for some distance. This bird is the most powerful bird in the game, and ice poses no threat to it.

Tips & Warnings

• When playing "Angry Birds," use each type of bird in the best way possible. Use blue birds, if available, to target ice, and send others towards material they are better suited for. For example, yellow birds can plow through a lot of wood using its speed boosts, and black birds are the best, by far, against rocks.
