How to Decorate Party Tables With Cupcakes
Rather than using flowers, candles or some other type of table decoration for the next party you throw, use cupcakes for your decor. Many people frost cupcakes in either vanilla or chocolate icing and display them on flat platters. Instead, frost your cupcakes more creatively, and display them on a three-dimensional stand for visual appeal. Also, decorate your cupcakes in a color that coordinates with the rest of your party decorations. Does this Spark an idea?

Place your cupcakes on a tiered cupcake stand, and sit the stand at the center of the party table. Scatter what you used in decorating the cupcakes around the tiered stand. For example, if you used edible flowers, scatter more flowers or flower petals around the stand. Alternatively, scatter candies or sprinkles around the stand for a whimsical look.

Create cupcake arrangements that look like flower arrangements. Place a piece of floral foam inside the base of each flower pot, and cover the floral foam with green shredded paper. Insert a skewer into the bottom of each cupcake, and then insert the opposite end of the skewer into the floral foam. Arrange the cupcakes as you would a floral arrangement, and line up each arrangement on the party table.

Tips & Warnings
Use mini-cupcakes for the flower pot arrangements since they are light enough to stay on the skewers.
