Wrinkles in your clothing can make them appear old and worn looking. If you have an item stuffed away in your closet that you've never worn and wish to sell it, it most likely needs to be restored to its original state. Removing wrinkles with the tags still on isn't too difficult. Steam and hot air is what usually releases wrinkles by fluffing the fabric and filling in gaps.   • Spray bottle
  • Fabric softener
  • Water
  • Hanger
  • Iron

      Make your own wrinkle release spray by pouring 1 cup of water into a spray bottle and adding 1 teaspoon of liquid fabric softener. Shake the bottle well and spray on your piece of clothing, avoiding the tags. Run your hands over the fabric to smooth it and lay it flat to dry.

      Put your item on a hanger and hang it on the back of the door when showering. The steam and heat will release the wrinkles. Cover the tags with foil or paper bag remnants.

      Fill a spray bottle with water and spray the wrinkled areas of your clothing, avoiding the tags. Use a blow dryer on medium to high heat to dry it quickly while removing any wrinkles.

      Check the tag instructions to see if your clothing item allows ironing. If so, lay a towel down on a flat surface and put the clothing item on top of it. Fill your iron with distilled water and allow it to heat up. Iron the item, avoiding the tags, by using smooth, even passes.
