DIY Collage Frame
Creating a DIY collage frame is a way to display personal items that might otherwise be stuck in a closet or box. Collages, unlike paintings, may be rearranged as many times as desired before the artist commits to a design. When choosing a frame think out of the box; you don't have to choose a small picture frame. Look for a large frame from an old painting or an old mirror at a flea market, or simply purchase a new frame from a local discount store.
Instructions

1
Choose a wood or metal frame with a surface that is at least 2 inches wide.
-
2
Gather items that can be easily affixed with glue, such as photos, magazine cutouts, ticket stubs and letters.
-
-
3
Arrange the items on the frame. Cut items to fit together or cut interesting shapes that will make certain items stand out.
-
4
Play around with the arrangement until the desired results are achieved. The items should overlap and the frame should be completely covered.
-
5
Take a picture of the arrangement to help you remember the display and then remove the items from the frame.
-
6
Glue the items on the frame, starting with any items that belong underneath other items. Let the frame dry.
-
7
Finish the collage by applying a light varnish and set aside to dry.
