How to Have Your Tumblr Music Keep Playing
Tumblr allows users to share photos, videos and music files with followers. When you play a music file, the song will stop playing if you load another page. However, if you open the next page you wish to view on Tumblr in a new window, you can listen to your song while perusing the rest of the posts. To stop playing the song, press the stop button or close the original window or tab.

Log in to your Tumblr account with your email address and password. The site will direct you to your Tumblr dashboard. This is where your friends' most recent posts are located.

Click the play button on the song you wish to listen to. The songs your friends posted will appear on the dashboard. They will be labeled as a song with a triangle "play" button.

Right click the "Next" link at the bottom right corner of the screen. Click "Open in new window" or "Open in new tab." You can now listen to music on Tumblr and continue browsing the website.
