How to Hide a Thread When Sewing
Sewing is all about creating a nicely finished article of clothing, curtain, or other item. Often, the key to creating the right look for these pieces is hiding as many of the seams as possible. Fortunately, the process for doing this is no more difficult than creating a straight ahead stitch, with one small modification.

1
Flip the fabric inside out, so you are looking at the inside of the two pieces slated to be sewn together.
-
2
Line up the edges perfectly. Pin the seam every inch or as needed.
-
-
3
Lift the lever arm on the sewing machine. Slide the article under the foot. Lower the lever to secure the article underneath.
-
4
Depress the sewing machine's foot pedal. Guide the article along under the machine's foot, 1/2 inch from the edges of the fabric. Keep the stitch equidistant from the fabric's edges along the seam.
-
5
Lift the foot at the end of the seam. Snip excess thread, and remove the article.
-
6
Turn the article right side out. Note that the seam is clean and all stitches hidden.
