How to Disable the Buzzer on the Maytag MDG2706AWW Gas Dryer

The buzzer helps to prevent wrinkles appearing.

The Maytag MDG2706AWW front-loading clothes dryer sounds a buzzer at the end of each cycle that tells owners when to remove items from the drum. Leaving clothes in the dryer beyond the end of the cycle causes wrinkles to appear in the fabric. The controls of the dryer allow you to adjust the volume or disable the buzzer; you might want to turn the signal off if you find it annoying or unnecessary.

Instructions

1. Locate the dial marked "Chime" or "Signal" on the control panel.

2. Turn the dial all the way to the position marked "Off" to prevent the buzzer sounding at the end of the next cycle.

3. Select a position between "On" and "Off" to reduce the volume of the buzzer. Not all models of MDG2706AWW have adjustable volume.
