How to Become a Marketing Engineer
A product marketing engineer is a sales specialist. He is often tasked by his employer to shepherd a complicated or technical product from the research stage to rollout. He is responsible for determining what products his company's customers want and need, and works with company engineers to develop and market products that meet those needs. Once the product is ready to be marketed, the marketing engineer coordinates a sales campaign that explains its features and benefits in an understandable way. A product marketing engineer usually has a background in both engineering and sales.
