1
Cut a semi-circle from thick white card stock. Cut eight teardrops 2 inches long and 1 inch wide from yellow construction paper, and cut 1/2-inch slits at the ends to make them look like feathers. Glue them to the white semi-circle, layered with edges overlapping. Glue four on each side pointing out. The rounded top 3 inches of the semi-circle should remain uncovered.

2
Cut 2-by-2-inch circles from brown construction paper, and cut out the center of each circle. Glue these just above the straight edge of the semi-circle. Cut holes in the white card stock to match up with the eye holes.

3
Cut a triangle for the beak out of orange construction paper. Fold the outside edges under, then glue the beak to the straight bottom edge of the semi-circle.
-
4
Use a hole puncher to punch a small round hole on each side of the mask. Make the hole in the white semi-circle under the feathers so it is hidden.
-
5
Loop elastic cord through each hole and tie it in the back.
