1
Measure the width of the books across the front. For this to work best, you will need four books that are the same size, such as a book series. With your knife, cut out two square pieces of Styrofoam whose measurements match those of the books.

2
Place a Styrofoam piece on a flat surface and stand the books up next to each side of the square to make a square vase shape. You may need to use items close to you to help hold the books in place. Use double-sided sticky tape or glue dots to attach the back of each book to the piece of Styrofoam.

Take tissue paper, crumble it up loosely and stuff into the center of the book vase. When it is about halfway full, take the second Styrofoam piece and place it inside on top of the tissue paper. Use the double-sided sticky tape to attach the Styrofoam to the books.
-
4
Cut a piece of your wide ribbon that is long enough to wrap around the entire book vase. Wrap this around the books and tie into a bow. This will help to keep the books in place.
-
5
Gather your candy and arrange them in the vase. Once you are satisfied with the arrangement, attach the candy to each other and to the back side of the books. Arrange them so they can all be seen and create a fan display. If there are areas that seem empty, crumple up tissue paper and place it in the bare spots.

Tips & Warnings
If you find that the candy is too heavy and will not stay in place, try using wooden skewers. Tape them to the back of the candy and then stick the wooden skewer through the Styrofoam.
If you don't want to risk the sticky tape tearing the book, take a small ribbon and tie it around the book at the area you would be using the tape and then tape to the ribbon and not directly onto the book.
