How to Make a Wedding Flower Ball Decoration

Create your own floral wedding decorations using basic craft supplies, such as silk flowers that match your wedding flowers and foam balls. The supplies needed for wedding flower balls are inexpensive, and can be found at any craft store. Use flowers that coordinate with your wedding flowers, or incorporate other types of silk flowers to create interesting flower balls that stand out and look great as centerpieces, or hanging from a ceiling.

Things You'll Need

• Silk flowers
• Hot glue gun
• Foam ball

Instructions

1. Choose a variety of silk flowers to use on wedding flower balls from your local craft store. You will find a large selection of flowers to choose from, whether they are individual or in small bouquets. Look for flowers that will coordinate with your other wedding flowers.

2. Prepare the silk flowers by grasping each flower in one hand while you pull out the stem with the other hand. You should not need much pressure to remove the stems from the flowers. Remove any leaves or imperfect petals from each silk flower.

3. Place a dab of hot glue on the back of each silk flower and press it firmly onto the foam ball, and hold it there for several seconds. Continue in this manner while keeping the flowers close together until the ball is completely covered.
