Instructions

    • 1

Place the birdcage outside on top of the newspaper.

    • 2

Spray the birdcage with paint. Make sure all areas are covered and that the metal is not showing.

    • 3

      Allow the paint to dry.

    • 4

Wrap the ribbon in a spiral around every other bar on the birdcage, overlapping each new spiral 1/4-inch over the previous so that the bars are completely covered. If the bars are very close together, wrap every third or fourth bar. Secure each end of the ribbon to the bar by tying it with a big bow.

    • 5

Place the flower heads on the base inside the birdcage, leaving a space in the center of the flowers.

    • 6

Place the candle in the center of the flowers.

    • 7

Place a decorative bird on the perch, securing it with glue, if desired.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure the candle does not touch the flowers, as this poses a fire hazard.
