Lean on your friends when you are nervous on your wedding day.

One of the most stressful days in many people’s lives is their wedding day. Even though the bride and groom are excited about this special day, it is not uncommon for one or both of them to feel really nervous. One key way to prevent this feeling and stay calm is through proper wedding planning. Your wedding day should be an exciting day, and therefore you must plan well for it and work hard in order to stay calm and enjoy the entire day.

Instructions

    • 1

Start preparing months in advance. Don’t wait until the last minute to make preparations you can complete ahead of time. This will help eliminate stress at the last minute.

    • 2

Avoid overspending. Plan a budget when you begin your wedding planning. Make sure it is realistic and stick with it. Overspending can cause a bride or groom to feel nervous on their wedding day because they are worried about all of the money spent. Stay calm by sticking with the budget you created.

Delegate some of the duties to your family or the bridal party. There are always things that cannot be done until the last minute, including decorating the church and reception hall. Decide ahead of time who will do this decorating and make sure they are reliable. Most friends and family members enjoy helping out, so don’t be afraid to ask.

Eat something prior to the wedding. Throughout the day, eat small meals or snacks. Some good snacks are nuts, salads, vegetables and fruits with vitamin C. Keep hydrated as well. Many brides or grooms may forget to eat because they are nervous. Munching on the right foods throughout the day may help you stay calm.

Make a spa appointment. On the morning of your wedding day, schedule a time slot for a visit to the spa. A massage on your wedding day may help you stay calmer throughout the event.

    • 6

Stay near your family and friends. These are the people who love you most. They will offer you support and encouragement and will also keep you from worrying.

    • 7

Remember why you are there. Focus on why you are getting married and on the person you are about to marry.
