1
Gather as many wine corks as you need to completely cover the front of a 12-inch straw wreath base. It's better to have too many corks on hand than not enough.
-
2
Attach the wine corks to the wreath with the most eye-catching side facing up. Apply a strip of hot glue to the opposite side and press it down onto the wreath to create a secure hold. Begin by gluing the corks end-to-end around the innermost section of the wreath.

3
Continue gluing the corks end-to-end in rings around the front of the wreath until the entire surface up to the outer perimeter is covered. Trim the corks with a craft knife as needed to fit them into tight spots.
-
4
Fill in any gaps in the wreath with green or purple plastic grapes. Apply a dot of glue to the back of the grapes and press them on or in between the corks. Accent the wreath with individual silk or plastic grape leaves if you desire.

5
Loop a wide, purple grosgrain ribbon through the wreath and tie it into a bow at the top for hanging.
