1
Wear a pair of leggings. While dark-colored leggings like black or brown are ideal, any shade works fine. Put on a pair of tall leather boots that cover up the bottom of the leggings and extend to your shin.
-
2
Put on a billowy white tunic, blouse or button up shirt. Alternatively, a T-shirt that boasts bold stripes of white and black, red or blue also looks fit for a pirate. Top off either shirt with a vest you purchased at a thrift shop or already own.

3
Wear your hair down, or cover your hair with a long, straight wig. Create a handful of tiny braids throughout your hair. Toward the end of the braid, slip on a few beads, then secure them in place with a hair elastic.
-
4
Obtain a red bandana or sash. Wrap the sash across your forehead and tie it together at the back of your head for some pirate-like headwear.
-
5
Accessorize. Strap on a leather belt with a dramatically large buckle. Gold costume jewelry, such as wrist bangles and necklaces, add to the pirate costume.
