Make pink friendship bracelets out of ribbon.

Friendship bracelets are a thoughtful gift to make for friends. Basically any bracelet can be a friendship bracelet as long as you have one that matches. If you and your friends like the color pink, you can make your bracelets out of pink ribbon. Ribbon comes in many shades of pink, as well as pink prints. It also comes in many sizes, so you have a lot of freedom in how your finished product will look.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Wrap a piece of pink ribbon loosely around your wrist, and then mark with a pen where the ribbon meets.

    • 2

Cut the ribbon 1/2 inch past the mark you drew, and slightly longer if the friend you'll be giving the bracelet to has a larger wrist than you.

    • 3

Fold one end of the ribbon back, about 1/4 inch, add a dab of hot glue where the folded tip meets the back of the ribbon, place the hook side of a piece of Velcro on the glue, then apply pressure to the Velcro for one minute. Repeat with the other end of the ribbon, using the loop side of your piece of Velcro.

Flip the ribbon over and use fabric letter stickers to write your friend's name on the top of the friendship bracelet. Alternatively, you can write "Best Friends," "BFFs" or anything else you choose.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want to keep your bracelet entirely pink, use fabric letter stickers in a different shade of pink than the bracelet. If you don’t want the letters to be pink, then choose a color that complements the pink, such as black, white, yellow or green.

  • To make this friendship bracelet adjustable in size, make the bracelet slightly longer than necessary and use long pieces of Velcro. This way, a person with a larger wrist can make the bracelet fit by only attaching the tips of the two Velcro sides. A person with a smaller wrist can make the bracelet fit by attaching the end of one piece of Velcro to the end of the other piece of Velcro.
