How to Make Felt Bracelets
Kids of all ages will love making and showing off handmade felt bracelets. Children can make the soft jewelry pieces in less than an hour using basic sewing materials. Felt bracelet crafts make ideal birthday and slumber party activities, as kids can make and share their creations with their friends. Handmade bracelets also make thoughtful gifts. 1
Measure the child's wrist with a tape measure. Cut a 2-inch-wide strip of craft felt 1 inch longer than the wrist measurement. Choose a felt color to reflect the child's favorite hue or a holiday, such as pastel pink or yellow for Easter.

2
Use a needle and thread to sew a button one inch from the end of the felt strip. Cut a buttonhole at the opposite end of the strip using a craft knife.

3
Use thread that contrasts with the felt color, such as purple or green thread with pink felt, to stitch along each side of the strip as a decorative touch.

4
Decorate the felt bracelet with small craft items. Sew colorful buttons across the length of the bracelet, or use a hot glue gun to attach sparkling flat-backed gems for a glamorous look. Cut whimsical shapes, such as hearts, flowers, pumpkins, birds or Christmas trees, out of felt and glue them to the bracelet as another option.
