Instructions

    • 1

Use a wine goblet or martini or margarita glass for each stand; wash and dry the glasses thoroughly. Make sure to have one glass available for each guest.

    • 2

Cut a standard sheet of tissue paper in to four equal squares. Repeat the process for additional colors of tissue paper, using at least two coordinating colors. Coordinate the cupcake decorations with the tissue paper colors.

    • 3

Lay one square of tissue paper on a flat surface. Place a second square of tissue paper, in a different color, on top of the first sheet and turned so the corners of the second sheet fall on the flat sides of the first sheet.

    • 4

Pick up both sheets of tissue paper and place on the top opening of the wine goblet or martini glass. Place one cupcake on top of the tissue paper and press down gently to push the tissue paper and cupcake in to the glass.

    • 5

Cut colored construction paper into shapes such as hearts or stars, one for each glass. Use a hole punch to place a small hole in the top corner of the paper cutout. Write a simple phrase on each cutout, such as "Choose Me" or "Take Me With You." Cut a piece of thin ribbon or string, thread through the hole in the paper and tie to the stem of the glass.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use caution when using glassware for serving cupcakes if children will be present. Plastic glasses are available at party stores.
