How to Make a Good Luck Pendant
You can make your own good luck pendant by burning symbols onto unfinished wood pendants. Many believe that wearing a good luck symbol attracts positive energy that will lead to fortunate circumstances. Symbols for good luck vary by culture and religious preference, so choose a symbol that connects with you. Some good luck symbols include horseshoes, Chinese characters and four-leaf clovers. Make a variety of pendants for yourself or as gifts for friends and family.

1
Purchase wood pendant blanks. There are a variety of sizes and shapes, including round, square and rectangular wood pendants available in craft stores. The pendant blanks include holes for adding a chain or cord.
-
2
Locate an image of your good luck symbol to transfer to the wood. You can download and print an image from the Internet or use an image from a book or magazine. Make sure you size the image to fit the pendant blank you are using. Choose a simple symbol, and avoid using heavily detailed images.

3
Place a piece of graphite transfer paper face down onto the pendant blank, and then place the image on top. Trace the symbol to transfer onto the wood blank.
-
4
Place a pointed tip onto a wood burning tool, plug the tool in and allow heating.
-
5
Trace over the symbol on the wood using the wood-burning tool. Place the tip of the tool onto the wood and drag the tip across the wood to draw the outline of the symbol. The wood-burning tool will instantly burn the wood, so keep the tool constantly moving to obtain a crisp outline of your symbol. If you must stop, remove the tool from the wood to avoid large burned blotches.
