  • 1/2 yard of fleece
  • Ruler
  • Pinking sheers

      Lay the fleece on a flat surface, making sure that it is completely flat. Be sure that the stretch of the fleece runs along the length of the shawl.

      With a ruler, measure the fabric so that it is 18-by-60 inches.

      Cut along the measured area with a pair of sharp pinking sheers. Be sure to cut the selvage from the edge of the fleece.

      Cut six inches into the fleece every 1/2 inch to create fringe.
