How to Make a Bear out of a Paper Plate
When seeking a craft idea for a child who likes bears, a simple and inexpensive project is making a bear out of paper plates. No matter which type of bear you decide to make, you can turn your paper plate bear into a mask or just hang it on the wall to decorate a room. Children of all ages can make a paper plate bear any time for any reason.
Things You'll Need
- Large paper plate
- 2 small paper plates
- Brown craft paint
- White construction paper
- 2 small black buttons
- Small black pom pom
- Black permanent marker

Lay the large and small plates on a flat surface, paint the plates brown and allow 20 to 30 minutes for the paint to dry.

Cut the small plate in half to make the ears. Glue the ears to the top left and right sides on the back of the plate.

Glue the other small plate on the large plate to make the bear's snout. Align the bottom of the small plate with the bottom of the large plate.

Cut two small circles from the white construction paper for the eyes. Glue the eyes slightly above the top of the snout. Glue a black button in the center of the eyes.

Glue the pompom in the center of the snout. Draw the mouth with the black marker.
